Your Purchase of a 0350TS Helps Support Our Officers

It started in 2009 when four Lakewood, Washington police officers were shot and killed while in a coffee shop, working on their laptops, and preparing for their shifts. A gunman, later identified as Maurice Clemmons, entered the shop and murdered the four officers.

The response of our local Pacific Northwest community was tremendous. During our annual Warehouse Sale that year, Kai USA and our customers contributed $30,000 to the fund established to help support the families of the officers.

Then this year, we learned of the embezzlement of a large amount of that money from that fund by another officer. While the embezzler was caught and ordered to make restitution, Zero Tolerance didn’t think it was enough.

With ZT’s commitment to professional-level knives favored by law enforcement, military, and quality-minded knife owners, we decided to donate 10% of the profits from 2012 sales of a new Zero Tolerance knife, the ZT0350TS, to a different Lakewood fund. This one, the Fallen/Injured Officers’ Fund, is part of the Lakewood Officer’s Charity, and it supports the families of fallen Lakewood officers in immediate need.

In support of this cause, we here at KAI-USA wanted to draw greater attention to it. With that in mind, we put together a contest giveaway on our Zero Tolerance Facebook page. The contest asks for the entrants to provide a testimonial to how law enforcement and military have bettered their lives and offers prizes of a ZT 0350TS for first place and a ZT 0350 for second place. If you're interested in the contest or simply want to vote for your favorite contestant, please go to the link below. Thank you all for your support on this wonderful cause.
